Orr Played football at Santa Barbara High, class of 2006. After graduating, he served as a squad leader in the Israeli Defense Forces in a Special Operations Reconnaissance Company overseas.
After the military, Orr continued his education and graduated cum laude from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with a bachelor’s of science in business.
In November 2018, he decided to pursue stand-up comedy. He moved back to Santa Barbara and could easily see there was a local market for comedy shows.
Orr said adjusting to civilian life was difficult. He spent many years battling depression and post-traumatic stress syndrome, or PTSD.
Comedy has helped alleviate his depression and curb symptoms of PTSD. He said with a creative outlet to channel his thoughts, comedy may have saved his life. Orr is planning on establishing an organization to help other veterans overcome their PTSD through comedy.
