With the start of summer just a month away, Viva Santa Barbara Modern Mexican Cuisine, 1114 State St., will host a fundraiser for the 45th annual Summer Solstice Celebration from 6 to 10 p.m. June 9, tonight, with a live performance by David Segall’s band.
An all-you-can-eat taco bar will be offered to solstice fans for $20. Tickets are available at https://www.vivasb.com/tickets
The June 9 fundraiser includes music by local DJs, a raffle and silent auction. Proceeds benefit the Summer Solstice Celebration.
With the theme of “Wonder,” this year’s celebration starts during the early evening of June 21 at Alameda Park with the colorful parade commencing at noon June 22 at State and Cota streets. The event concludes the next day at the park.
