UPDATED: Topics, Panelists Named for April 18 Quarterly Cannabis Industry Meeting

Topics and panelists have been named for the next Quarterly Cannabis Workshop and Networking event sponsored by the Law Firm of Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck planned for 6 to 8 p.m. April 18 at Impact Hub, 1117 State St., Santa Barbara.

Topics discussed will include:

  • trends in retail, hot products and brands;
  • California’s role in the global cannabis industry;
  • the media perspective;
  • update on cannabis regulations in Santa Barbara County.

Rodney Medina, of Green Flower Media, 805 Cannabis Society will moderate the panel.

Panelists include: Chelsea Sutula, of Sespe Creek Collective; Collin Dvorak, of San Marcos Consulting, Santa Barbara Cannabis Alliance; and Jay Higgins, of H&H Environmental.

The last such event in January drew some 100 cannabis industry members who heard discussion of a variety of topics, including land-use issues in Santa Barbara County, a hearing on “Wine vs. Weed in Santa Ynez Valley;” brand protection; and DNA plant-testing innovation.
