Santa Barbara’s second “Mom Made Market” is planned for 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct 21 and 22 at Impact Hub Santa Barbara, 1117 State St.
It’s a free community event that last year drew several thousand visitors just walking on State Street. More than 70 vendors were inside Impact Hub selling mostly home-made products ranging from jewelry to soap to designer cushions. Vendor’s spilled out onto State Street on Saturday.
The Mom Made Market supports local moms in business where the community can come out and shop their wares.
This year, at least 40 vendors will be on site selling their goods and promoting their services.
The market is the brainchild of Kimberly Cross now of Portland, Ore., and of late out of Carlsbad, Calif. She has a following of female vendors who sell at the periodic events up and down the coast.
After last year’s Santa Barbara event, she staged a market at the Orange County Fairgrounds that drew 130 sellers and thousands of buyers.
